Abstract
The present study was intended to evaluate the antibacterial activity of leaf essential oil (EO) of E. maculata and its major compound, identified from the crude EO against Aeromonas hydrophila and A. jandaei. The major compound was found to be 1,8-cineole through Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometry-Flame Ionization Detector analysis.
