The cell bodies of Purkinje Cells are extremely rich in Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) stacks associated with a semi-crystalline array of inositol- 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor (IP3 receptor) (Katayama et al: EMBO Journal vol.15 no.18 pp.4844-4851, 1996).
