The rice leaffolder, Cnaphalocrosis medinalis Güenée (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), has emerged as a serious pest with significant outbreaks over the last decade in several rice‐growing countries, including China and Bangladesh and resulting in heavy rice yield losses.
