Abstract
Obesity is characterized by enhanced MR (mineralocorticoid receptor) activation, vascular stiffness, and associated cardiovascular and kidney disease. Consumption of a Western-style diet (WD), high in saturated fat and refined carbohydrates, by female mice, leads to obesity and vascular stiffening.
