The first representative of Progonocimicidae (Hemiptera: Coleorrhyncha) from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber

Gakasha calcaridentata gen. et sp. nov. representing Progonocimicidae: Cicadocorinae (moss bugs) is described. It is the first record of Coleorrhyncha in mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber and the second in fossil resins from the Cretaceous.
