Abstract
A growth-inhibitory polysaccharide (GIPinv) was purified using size-exclusion and ion-exchange chromatography from the fourth sodium hydroxide extraction step of a fungus found in British Columbia. The fungus was genetically identified as a member of the Paxillus involutus complex.
