Antioxidant and antihyperlipidemic activities of polysaccharides from sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus
Abstract
Polysaccharides (AJP) were prepared from Apostichopus japonicus by protease hydrolysis method. Antioxidant activity in vitro and antihyperlipidemic activity in vivo was investigated. Chemical composition analysis indicated that AJP was mainly composed of glucosamine, galactosamine, glucuronic acid, mannose, glucose, galactose and fucose, with an average molecular weight of about 36.2 kDa.
