A new fossil species of snakeflies (Raphidioptera: Mesoraphidiidae) from the Late Cretaceous of Kazakhstan, with notes on Turonian Neuropterida
Abstract
Alloraphidia kyzylzharica sp. nov. is described from the Late Cretaceous (early Turonian) locality at Kyzylzhar, southern Kazakhstan. It is very similar to A. dorfi, but easily distinguished from it by wing shape and venation. We restrict the genus Alloraphidia to these two species.
