Abstract
The mechanism of cellular cadmium (Cd) uptake has been poorly understood. Recently, we developed Cd-resistant cell lines from metallothionein null mouse cells and showed that the Cd resistance of these cells was conferred primarily by a reduced Cd accumulation.
