Structural elucidation and biological activity of a novel polysaccharide by alkaline extraction from cultured Cordyceps militaris

A novel polysaccharide named CBP-1 was isolated from the fruiting body of cultured Cordyceps militaris by alkaline extraction as well as anion-exchange and gel-permeation chromatography.
