Abstract
We have synthesized fifteen bis-indole bearing Schiff base derivatives (1-15) as α-glucosidase and urease inhibitors which were characterized through different spectroscopic techniques (1H, 13C-NMR, HREI-MS and FTIR). All analogs were found active when screened for α-glucosidase inhibition and showed IC50 values ranging from 18.92 ± 1.34 to 475.74 ± 1.52 µM when compared with standard acarbose (IC50 = 375.82 ± 1.76 µM).
