Abstract
Diabetic hearts are more susceptible to myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury and less sensitive to ischemic postconditioning (IPostC), but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. PKC β 2 is preferentially overactivated in diabetic myocardium, in which autophagy status is abnormal.
