Abstract
A novel rare-earth-based YCxTδ two-dimensional metal carbide (MXene), with feather-like morphology and hexagonal structure, has been prepared by selective etching of a nanolaminated precursor YAl3C3 non-transition-metal-aluminum-carbides (non-MAX) phase.
