Abstract
Since ~40 Ma the eastward extrusion of the Songpan‐Ganzi Terrane (SGT), induced by the continuous convergence of the Indian Plate and Eurasia, was resisted by the Sichuan Basin which led to complex crustal rotational deformation of the basin edge.
