Abstract
Artemargyinolide E (AE), a new sesquiterpene lactone was isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Artemisia argyi. Its structure was elucidated based on the extensive analysis of spectroscopic data. The absolute configuration of AE was assigned by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
