Abstract
A round-cake like {Fe24} coordination cage is assembled by bridging six Fe4-p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene (Fe4-TC4A) SBUs with sulfate and chloride anions. The structure can also be thought to form by bolstering two {(Fe4-TC4A)3-(μ3-Cl−)} coordination triangles rotating 60° from each other with sulfate and chloride anions.
