Abstract
Dysregulated platelet functions contribute to the development and progression of ischemic stroke. Utilizing mice with a platelet-specific deletion of cyclophilin D (CypD), a mediator of necrosis, we found that platelet necrosis regulates tissue damage and outcomes during ischemic stroke in vivo.
