Abstract
Rapanone is a natural occurring benzoquinone with several biological effects including unclear cytotoxic mechanisms. Here we addressed if mitochondria are involved in the cytotoxicity of rapanone towards cancer cells by employing hepatic carcinoma (HepG2) cells and isolated rat liver mitochondria.
