Abstract
2-Phenylbutyric acid based four organotin (IV) complexes were prepared with general formula R3SnL/R2SnL2, where R = methyl (1), butyl (2), octyl (3) and L = 2-phenylbutyrate. The 2-phenyl butyrate coordinates to the tin atom via carboxylate group as evidenced by FT-IR and 13C NMR data.
