Abstract This article focus on the synthesis of three 5-coordinated Sn(IV) complexes based on carboxylate ligand: 4-((4-methoxy-2-nitrophenyl)amino)-4-oxobutanoic acid. Abstract 2-Phenylbutyric acid based four organotin (IV) complexes were prepared with general formula R3SnL/R2SnL2, where R = methyl (1), butyl (2), octyl (3) and L = 2-phenylbutyrate. Abstract In the search for new therapeutic agents we have synthesized 13 new organotin(IV) carboxylate derivatives of ( E )-4-((4-methoxy-2-nitrophenyl)amino)-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid.
