Abstract
In 2014, there were 2.5 million Americans with opioid use disorder (OUD). The U.S. opioid epidemic has since worsened, disproportionately in the New England (NE) states. Opioid-related ED visits continue to rise, putting EDs in an important position to act. Yet, it is unknown if opioid-related ED policies have changed in response to the escalating crisis.
