Abstract
Although numerous sensors have been successfully fabricated for the detection of various heavy metal ions by employing fluorescent gold nanoclusters (AuNCs) as nanoprobes, serious cross-interference often occurs when these ions coexist in samples, which results in glaring errors in quantification.
