Two bifunctional inositol pyrophosphate kinases/phosphatases control plant phosphate homeostasis

Many eukaryotic proteins regulating phosphate (Pi) homeostasis contain SPX domains that are receptors for inositol pyrophosphates (PP-InsP), suggesting that PP-InsPs may regulate Pi homeostasis.
