Abstract
Tin dioxide nanoparticles (SnO2 NPs) were synthesized by sol-gel method using comparatively less toxic reducing agent. The SnO2 NPs exhibits high surface area (128 m2/g) as calculated from BET nitrogen adsorption data. The crystallite size calculated from X-rays diffractogram (XRD) was 5.25 nm with tetragonal geometry.
