Adiponectin (ADP) is an adipokine secreted by adipose tissue with anti-inflammatory, antiatherogenic, and antidiabetic properties. In human serum, it is presented as three different forms: low molecular weight (LMW), medium molecular weight (MMW), and high molecular weight (HMW).
