Abstract
The steroid hormone, oestradiol, has pleiotropic functions. The protective effects of oestradiol are attributed to its anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, anti‐atherogenic, anti‐apoptotic, vasodilatory activities and regulation of micro RNA.
