Abstract
Flax ( Linum usitatissimum ) is a cool season crop commercially cultivated for seed oil and stem fibre production. A comprehensive characterization of the heat shock factor ( HSF ) candidate genes in flax can accelerate genetic improvement and adaptive breeding for high temperature stress tolerance.
