Abstract
Low lying states of 198Hg have been investigated via 197Au(7Li,\alphan\gamma reaction at E_{\mathrm{beam}} = 33, 38MeV and the members of the \gammavibrational band have been identified. Results are compared with the systematic of this mass region and found in agreement.
