Microstructure and corrosion behaviour of Al coating deposited by cold spraying onto FSW AA2219-T87 joint

This work evaluates the microstructure and corrosion behaviour of Al coating deposited by cold spraying onto FSW AA2219 alloy. The results showed that a dense coating could be deposited on the FSW joint surface with low porosity (0.77%). XRD analysis indicated that no new phases were formed during the spraying.
