Spliced X-box binding protein-1 (XBP1s) is a major effector of the unfolded protein response (UPR) signaling. We previously reported that human XBP1s in bone marrow stromal cells plays an essential role in regulating stromal support of multiple myeloma bone disease (MMBD).
