Abstract
A rare species of archaic beetle, Paraodontomma szwedoi sp. nov., is described in burmite from northern Myanmar. It belongs to an unusual extinct genus with numerous pointed teeth along the edge of the body. It is the smallest species in the genus and reveals a dorsal ornamentation not previously reported.
