Abstract
In chronic conditions like atrial fibrillation (AF) up to half of the patients do not take their drugs as prescribed. The aim of this study was to examine patients’ reasons for (non-) adherence to oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT). Factors impacting OAT adherence were first examined through literature review.
