Abstract
It is documented that mechanical unloading leads to alterations in phosphorylation patterns in cardiomyocytes of mechanical unloaded hearts. To date, these observations were made solely in unloaded healthy hearts or hearts after acute myocardial infarction, not representing the pathophysiology of hypertrophic and dilated hearts emerging in heart failure patients.
