Abstract
We reviewed the ultrasound findings in 59 children suspected of having bone infection. Twenty-nine were eventually proved to have acute haematogenous osteomyelitis and 26 of these showed characteristic ultrasound findings. Such changes were rare in 30 patients with other clinically similar conditions.
