Abstract
Ty1 reverse transcriptase/RNase H (RT/RH) is exquisitely sensitive to manganese concentrations. Elevated intracellular free Mn 2+ inhibits Ty1 retrotransposition and in vitro Ty1 RT-polymerizing activity.
