The genus Crinivirus of the plant virus family Closteroviridae include members that are bipartite and whitefly-transmitted (2). The Crinivirus, Sweetpotato chlorotic stunt virus (SPCSV), was described from sweetpotato (Ipomoea batatas) in Nigeria (1).
