Abstract
Inhibition of neutrophil-myocyte adhesion and adhesion-dependent myocyte injury by adenosine was evaluated using isolated TNF-alpha-activated canine cells. Adenosine inhibited adhesion of activated neutrophils to cardiac myocytes with an IC50 of 11 +/- 4 nM.
