Abstract
Three new isoflavones, 4′,8-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyisoflavone (1), 4′,6-dihydroxy-8-methoxycarbonyl-7-methoxyisoflavone (2), 4′,7-dimethoxy-8-hydroxymethyl-6-hydroxyisoflavone (3), together with three known flavones (4–6), were isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum.
