Abstract
A novel precursor for preparing SiBNC ceramic fibers was successfully prepared via co-polymerization of trichlorosilane (SiHCl3), boron trichloride (BCl3) and methyl amine (MeNH2). The polymeric precursor exhibited good melt spinnability due to its relatively linear-chain chemical structure, which could be easily melt spun into green fibers with a diameter of 28 μm.
