Abstract
Bacterial blight (BB, caused by Xanthomonas citri pv. malvacearum, Xcm) is a worldwide disease of cotton (Gossypium spp.). The disease has been effectively controlled through the use of BB resistant cultivars and planting of acid-delinted seed.
