Intermediate wheatgrass [ Thinopyrum intermedium (Host) Barkworth & D.R. Dewey] is a cool‐season perennial forage grass, whose grain is commercialized in the United States as “Kernza.” Its extensive root system may help in reducing soil erosion, water pollution, and C emissions.
