Abstract
e24048 Background: Cancer patients are at a significantly increased risk of rCDI by virtue of a compromised immune function from underlying malignancy, anti-cancer therapy and frequent antibiotic use for opportunistic infections. Furthermore, cancer patients have shown to have a lower response rate to standard oral antibiotics for CDI.
