Abstract
Natural polyphenols have potential therapeutic effects on colon-based diseases and gut microbial dysbiosis. However, the delivery of pure polyphenols to the colon has to overcome chemical instability, degradation, and metabolism in the upper gastrointestinal tract after oral ingestion.
