Abstract
A 36-year-old man was admitted for a tender inflammatory type IV thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm with multiple aortic dilations. After open repair, he remained frail, but results of all infectious and inflammatory investigations were negative. Hypermetabolic intrasplenic collections were discovered on postoperative computed tomography, and aortitis with aseptic abscess syndrome was strongly suggested.
