A genetically engineered chimeric virus crTMV-CP-PLRV composed of the crucifer-infecting tobacco mosaic virus (crTMV) RNA and the potato leafroll virus (PLRV) coat protein (CP) was obtained by agroinfiltration of Nicotiana benthamiana with the binary vector pCambia-crTMV-CPPLRV.
