Abstract
•Three hundred twenty-eight patients aged <45 years had myocardial infarction (MI); 130 had low-density lipoprotein cholesterol level >4.0 mmol/L (155 mg/dL). •52 patients were genetically tested, of whom 11 had a positive genetic test. •Prevalence of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) in young patients with MI was higher than in the general population. •Routine evaluation of FH in patients with MI could identify more patients with FH....
