Abstract
Some γ-glutamylpeptides in blood plasma are putative biomarkers for pathological conditions of the liver. γ-Glutamyltransferase (GGT) and γ-glutamylcysteine synthetase (γ-GCS) are two such potential enzymes that are responsible for the production of γ-glutamylpeptides.
