The year 2019 in Atherosclerosis

In 2019, Atherosclerosis started a two-step review process to further improve the journal's quality. All submissions are seen, judged, and discussed by the editor-in-chief and the co-editors in a weekly telephone conference. As a result, more than 60% of all submissions are rejected upfront.
