Abstract
A novel actinobacterium, designated TRM68348 T , was isolated from the silt collected from the Tailan River in Xinjiang Province, north-west China. The strain was aerobic and Gram-stain-positive. The aerial mycelium was densely straight or tortuous, with a few branches of hyphae and no spores. The whole-cell sugar pattern of strain TRM68348 T consisted of ribose and glucose.
