Abstract
Introduction: About 30% of all U.S. adults and 70-80% of those with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (CVD) is more common among NAFLD patients, albeit with limited evidence from large prospective studies.
